New Irrigation Project in Colorado Will Save A Billion Gallons of Water

The Colorado River provides drinking water for more than 36 million people in the U.S. and Mexico. It irrigates over 5 million acres of agricultural land providing food production, hydropower, and supporting a $26 billion recreation economy. This month, The Nature Conservancy launched a pilot project with the Grand Valley Water Association that will create about a billion gallons of water savings.
