Alleviating the Water Crisis in Peru Makes Way for Education

In Lima, Peru, 3 million people lack access to safe water. A local, Rosalina, spent her childhood walking miles to a local community well each morning to collect water for her family. Today, Rosalina uses a small, affordable loan to connect her property to a local water line with money she earns from selling drinks at the market. Instead of having to walk to collect clean water, Rosalina’s daughter Ruth now has the opportunity to go to school and learn to read.
